4 Aromatherapy Techniques To Incorporate In Your Self-Care Routine For Maximum Relaxation
What is Aromatherapy and how can you benefit from it?
Aromatherapy is basically the use of aromatics as a holistic healing treatment to enhance your wellbeing through fragrant essential oils to improve the health of your body, mind, and spirit.
I'll be sharing 4 fast and easy aromatherapy techniques that you can incorporate in your self-care routine to relax and unwind.
1. Get lit with scented candles.
Everybody loves scented candles - it's without a doubt one of the best ways to relax because all you need to do is light it up, sit back and let the candle do the rest. A little while ago, I gifted a friend of mine with scented candles for her birthday, and she's been ranting about how peaceful it makes her feel. She even lights them up during load-shedding, so you can imagine how blissful load-shedding has been for her. π
So the next time you take a break chilling out binge-watching your favorite series or taking it easy reading a book or your favorite magazine, light up a scented candle, and you're guaranteed to feel more tranquil.
2. Loosen up with diffusers.
Diffusers are super great because it spreads the aroma much effectively.
So these lovelies come in two forms: battery-powered diffusers and incense burners that use tea candles and they both take essential oils and evaporate them through the air.
There's a couple of pretty cool battery-operated diffusers, one's that looks like little owls that add to the chilled atmosphere you'd like to create. π
3. Soak or steam the stress away.
A nice warm soak in the tub with aromatic bath salts or well-deserved steam off in the shower with aromatic shower streamers will have you feeling super relaxed afterward - it will put you straight to bed. And that's what happened to everyone whom we gave our Lovely Lavender Himalayan Bath Salt to try out. π
4. Get your pamper on with Massage oils.
I love these because you don't need to go and spend money at a spa - you can do it yourself, or if you have someone you can trade a good massage with and get right into the shoulders where all the stress and tension sit. It is believed that an aromatherapy massage is also great for mental health! π
